Alkimi's 640 full-time faculty teach in 28 departments across five schools. Each department page lists its programs, courses, and a selection of its faculty.
How departments work
Where teaching happens
Departments are where faculty teach, advise, and do their research. Each is part of one of the five schools and reports to that school's dean. A department chair, appointed by the dean for a three-year term, makes course assignments and schedules, supports faculty, and hears student concerns about grades and courses first (Faculty Handbook §1.4).
