SafeWalk Escort Service
7:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.No student, faculty member, or staff member needs to walk alone after dark. SafeWalk provides walking escorts across all campus facilities, academic halls, residential quads, and university parking lots.
• Operational Hours: 7:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. nightly throughout the academic year.

• Personnel: Escorts are conducted by uniformed Campus Safety officers or trained student security personnel.

AlkimiAlert Emergency Broadcast System
AlkimiAlert is the university’s multi-channel emergency notification system. In the event of severe weather closures, active campus threats, or urgent safety hazards, broadcast alerts are sent instantly via SMS text, phone call, and email.
Matriculated students and employees are enrolled automatically with their university credentials. Students are required to verify contact numbers annually via AlkimiHub and may add up to three parent or emergency guardian phone numbers.

Annual Security and Fire Safety Report (Clery Act)
In compliance with the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, Alkimi University publishes its comprehensive Annual Security and Fire Safety Report annually by October 1.
The report includes three calendar years of campus crime statistics, residential fire safety disclosures, alcohol and drug policies, and educational prevention programs.

Campus Safety Systems
Blue Light Emergency Towers
Exterior Blue Light emergency call towers are located across campus walkways, courtyards, and parking lots. Pressing the emergency button connects callers directly to Campus Safety dispatch and pinpoints location for rapid arrival.
24/7 Foot & Cruiser Patrols
Uniformed Campus Safety officers patrol campus grounds on foot, by bicycle, and in marked patrol vehicles 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, monitoring physical security and building access.
Electronic Card Access
All residential facilities, laboratory buildings, and academic spaces are secured around the clock by electronic card readers. Only authorized students and staff with an active AlkimiCard can enter.

For urgent facilities issues affecting physical safety (such as plumbing leaks, heating failures, or electrical hazards), the 24/7 Facilities Emergency Dispatch line is (555) 555-0188.
Title IX & Equity
Title IX and sexual misconduct resources
Alkimi University is committed to an educational and work environment free from sex-based discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking.
Reporting Options & Support
Any student, faculty, or staff member who has experienced sexual misconduct, discrimination, or harassment may file an institutional report online, by email, by telephone, or in person with the Title IX Coordinator. Reports may also be submitted anonymously through the online Title IX portal.
Mandatory Reporting Policy (§14.2):
All university faculty and staff members (with the exception of designated confidential resources) are classified as Responsible Employees. They are required to report all known details of alleged sexual misconduct involving students to the Title IX Coordinator within 24 hours.
Available Supportive Measures
Non-disciplinary, non-punitive supportive measures are offered immediately to reporting parties without requiring participation in a formal grievance process:
- Mutual No-Contact Orders between parties
- Academic scheduling adjustments, course section transfers, or exam rescheduling
- Emergency room reassignments or on-campus housing modifications
- Campus Safety escorts across campus and university parking lots
- Excused medical absence coordination and academic extensions
- Leaves of absence coordination with the Dean of Students

Formal Grievance Adjudication
If a formal complaint is pursued, the university conducts an equitable grievance process: written notice of allegations, an impartial investigation with 10 business days for evidence review, a live virtual hearing before a neutral Hearing Officer, evaluation under the preponderance of the evidence standard, and appeal rights within 5 business days of the written outcome.
