Dr. Evelyn Marsh serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Alkimi University, leading the institution’s mission to deliver rigorous academic discovery, ethical civic inquiry, and accessible higher education. Appointed by the Board of Trustees, Dr. Marsh works closely with faculty leaders, students, staff, and regional partners to foster intellectual vitality across the university's five schools.
Throughout her tenure, President Marsh has championed interdisciplinary undergraduate research, modern laboratory enhancements, and transparent academic governance. She presides over general university convocations, delivers the annual State of the University address during the fall convocation, and directs long-range institutional planning.

Institutional Fiduciary
The Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees holds ultimate fiduciary, institutional, and legal authority for Alkimi University.
In accordance with institutional bylaws and the shared governance compact, the Board of Trustees exercises final stewardship over Alkimi University's mission, endowment assets, and physical facilities. The Board entrusts general operational, administrative, and academic leadership to the President and the administrative officers.
Responsibilities and institutional authority
- Academic Programs: Formally authorizes the establishment, substantial reorganization, or discontinuance of all academic degree programs upon recommendation by the Provost and President.
- Faculty Personnel Actions: Ratifies policies relating to contractual status, tenure conferral, and dismissal for cause, working in concert with established shared governance procedures.
- Fiscal Stewardship: Reviews and approves the annual university operating budget, tuition and fee schedules, capital investments, and long-term endowment investments.
- Physical Facilities: Authorizes major campus development, property acquisitions, and new capital construction projects on the 312-acre campus.

Shared governance representation
The Faculty Senate represents the faculty voice before the Board of Trustees. The President of the Faculty Senate attends regular meetings of the Board to present academic updates and deliberate institutional priorities.
