Alkimi University isn’t real. The agents are.
This site is a fictional university built by Alkimi AI to show what grounded AI assistants can do for a campus: on its website, in its handbooks, and in its courses and committees.
The short version
What you’re looking at
Alkimi University is a fictional institution created by Alkimi AI to demonstrate its products. It does not admit students, grant degrees, employ faculty, or accept payments. All people, places, policies, and figures on this site are invented. The names, phone numbers (all in the reserved 555-01xx range), emails (the domain has no mailboxes), policies, and photographs (AI-generated) are invented.
What is real is the Alkimi platform behind it. Every assistant on this site is a live Alkimi agent in a demo organization, answering from knowledge this university “published”: 21 workspaces, six handbook PDFs, committee records, course materials, and a crawl of this website.
The site is built so facts agree everywhere. Deadlines, prices, rooms, and phone numbers come from one data set that also generates the handbooks and the test questions the agents are evaluated against. When an agent says the Regular Decision deadline is January 15, 2027, that’s what the Apply page, the handbook, and the catalog say too.

Start on the home page
The Campus Guide in the corner is a public agent whose knowledge is a crawl of this entire site. Ask it where the Registrar is, or who to call about housing. It answers with a link to the page it used.

Cost & aid: the Financial Aid Advisor
Good for showing that answers carry exact figures, with the math shown, from the published cost tables, and that the agent won’t promise a specific family an aid amount.

Handbook agent with citations
Students: the Student Handbook Guide
A private agent (sign-in required) grounded only in the 60-page Student Handbook PDF. It cites sections as “Student Handbook §x.y”; every section reference on the site links to that page of the PDF, so you can check the answer live.

Course workspaces
A course: HIST 204 Learning Assistant
Each Fall 2026 pilot course is its own workspace with the syllabus, FAQ, assignment, and weekly notes. The assistant follows the course’s AI level. In CHEM 101 (Level 1) it tutors but won’t do graded work.

Committee assistants live in private workspaces in the Alkimi app, not on the website. Open the Faculty Senate workspace and ask about decisions that span several meetings.

The map, directory, and every office page share one set of facts, so the Campus Guide’s answers match what’s on screen. Ask it where the IT Service Desk is, then click that building.

Agents embedded in the website
Public agents let any visitor chat. Private agents show a sign-in form in the embed; that’s how a real campus would limit a handbook or course assistant to its community.
