Student Governance
Organization recognition and registration
Official university recognition grants clubs access to facility reservations, promotional channels, and Student Government Association funding.
Criteria for Official Recognition
Any group of Alkimi students wishing to establish a new organization or maintain existing status must satisfy four core institutional standards:
Annual AlkimiHub Registration
Complete re-registration every August through the Office of Student Activities in AlkimiHub.
Minimum 10 Enrolled Members
Maintain an active roster of at least 10 currently matriculated undergraduate or graduate students.
Approved Constitution & Bylaws
Maintain democratic officer elections, parliamentary procedures, and non-discriminatory open membership clauses.
Full-Time University Advisor
Secure an official organizational advisor who is a full-time Alkimi faculty or administrative staff member.
Campus Event Planning & Reservations
Recognized organizations planning lectures, concerts, fundraisers, or banquets must submit an Event Registration Form through AlkimiHub at least 14 calendar days in advance of the event date.
• Event Review Committee: Events anticipating over 100 attendees, prominent external guest speakers, or ticket sales must receive approval from the Campus Event Review Committee.
• Amplified Sound: Outdoor amplified sound is permitted only on Brightwater Lawn between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. on weekdays, or on weekends with advance authorization.
• Food & Catering: Food served at open events must be provided by Alkimi University Dining Services or an authorized licensed vendor.

Funding & Resources
Student Government Association (SGA) funding
The Student Government Association allocates funding derived from the annual Student Activity Fee.
SGA Finance Board Grants
Annual Student Activity Fee
$420 / year
The SGA Finance Board administers funding to recognized student organizations to support educational programming, guest speakers, travel to national conferences, and club supplies.
Annual Operating Budgets
Organizations submit comprehensive annual budget requests in February for the following academic year. Budgets cover recurrent operations, publication printings, and major scheduled campus performances.
Biweekly Contingency Grants
Contingency funding is reviewed biweekly during the regular semester for newly recognized organizations, emergent travel opportunities, or unanticipated programming costs.
