Official Regulations
Key policies every student should know

Course Add, Drop, and Withdrawal
Dropping a course by the census date removes the class from your transcript with a 100% tuition refund. Withdrawing after census through the tenth week yields a non-punitive grade of W that does not impact GPA.
Pass/No Pass Option
Undergraduates may elect Pass/No Pass grading for up to four courses (maximum one per semester) outside of major, minor, and Core Writing requirements. A grade of C- or higher is required to earn a P.
GPA Calculation & Academic Standing
Grade point averages are computed on a standard 4.0 scale. Maintaining good academic standing requires a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. A term GPA of 3.50 or higher qualifies full-time students for the Dean’s List.
Academic Integrity Standards
Alkimi University upholds honesty across all academic work. Suspected violations are resolved through faculty agreements or hearings before the Academic Integrity Board, with sanctions ranging from warnings to XF course notations.
Generative AI Default Institutional Rule
Unless an instructor’s syllabus explicitly authorizes otherwise, generative AI tools may be used for brainstorming, personal study, and draft feedback, but never to produce submitted coursework.
Final Examination Conflicts (Three-Exams Rule)
Students scheduled for three or more final examinations on a single calendar day are entitled to reschedule one exam. Contact the instructor of the middle examination before the final day of regular classes.
Tuition Refund Schedule
Tuition refunds follow a four-tier timeline: 100% through the census date, 50% through week 3, 25% through week 4, and 0% thereafter. Mandatory student fees become non-refundable after the first day of instruction.
Medical Amnesty Policy
Student health and safety always supersede disciplinary action. Calling for medical assistance in an alcohol or substance emergency protects both the caller and the person in distress from Student Code of Conduct charges.
