We welcome transfer applicants for both the spring and fall semesters. Applications are evaluated on a rolling basis.

Transfer application requirements
Submit the following items to complete your transfer application file.
Common Application for Transfer or the Alkimi University Application
$60 application fee or fee waiver
Official transcripts from every college attended
Final high school transcript (or GED) if fewer than 24 college credits have been completed
College Official's Report (dean of students form)
One academic recommendation from a college instructor
Personal essay explaining the reason for transferring (650 words maximum)
Minimum cumulative college GPA of 2.5 is recommended; 3.0 for Nursing and Engineering
GPA Recommendations for Transfer Applicants
A minimum cumulative college GPA of 2.5 is recommended for general admission across the College of Arts & Sciences and School of Business. Applicants to direct-entry programs in Nursing and Engineering are recommended to hold a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher due to rigorous prerequisite coursework.

We recognize the coursework you have already mastered and ensure maximum credit applies toward your degree.
How Your Credits Transfer
Courses from regionally accredited institutions completed with a C or better (2.0) transfer. Up to 64 credits from two-year colleges and 90 credits in total may transfer. Grades do not transfer and are not counted in the Alkimi GPA. Official evaluations are completed within 10 business days of admission.

Transfer Merit Scholarship
$8,000–$15,000 per year
Based on college GPA; renewable with a 2.75 cumulative GPA.
No separate scholarship application is needed. All admitted transfer students are reviewed automatically upon submission of their college transcripts.
