Reviewed on a rolling basis. Priority review March 1.

Applications received after January 15 are reviewed on a rolling, space-available basis until May 1, 2027. SAT and ACT scores are optional for the 2026–27 cycle and are considered only if you choose to submit them.

What you'll need

A complete application file includes your chosen application form, academic transcripts, recommendations, and essays.

Common Application or the Alkimi University Application

Select either platform; we treat both applications equally without preference.

$60 application fee or fee waiver

Pay the non-refundable fee or request a waiver if eligible (first-generation, military, or campus visitor).

Official high school transcript (submitted by the school counselor)

Must be transmitted directly from your high school guidance or counseling office.

One school counselor recommendation and School Report

Provides context on your high school curriculum, grading scale, and academic standing.

One teacher recommendation (from a core academic subject)

Must come from an instructor who taught you in English, math, science, social science, or foreign language.

Personal essay (650 words maximum)

Share your distinctive voice, perspectives, and personal growth on a topic of your choice.

Alkimi supplement: "Why Alkimi?" short answer (250 words maximum)

Tell us how our academic programs, campus culture, or research opportunities align with your aspirations.

SAT or ACT scores are optional

Scores are optional for Fall 2027 entry. Not submitting scores does not disadvantage you for admission or merit awards.

Mid-year report (Regular Decision applicants, due by February 15, 2027)

School counselors must submit first-semester senior year grades as soon as they are recorded.

You decide whether your standardized test scores reflect your academic ability and potential.

Our Holistic Test Policy

Test-optional for Fall 2027 entry (the 2026–27 cycle). SAT or ACT scores are considered only if the applicant chooses to submit them. Not submitting scores does not disadvantage an applicant, including for merit scholarships. Self-reported scores are accepted; official scores are required only after enrolling.

Application Fee & Fee Waiver

The undergraduate application fee is $60.

Fee Waiver Guidelines

Waived automatically for students who visit campus, are eligible for a College Board or NACAC fee waiver, are first-generation, or are active-duty or veteran military. Others can request one from their counselor or the admissions office.

Here is what to expect from the moment you click submit through National Candidates' Reply Day.

Portal Access

Shortly after submission, you will receive credentials to your Alkimi Applicant Portal to monitor documents.

Mid-Year Report

Regular Decision candidates must have counselors submit mid-year grades by February 15, 2027.

Financial Aid

Submit your FAFSA (code E55555) and CSS Profile (code 5555) to qualify for institutional grants.

Decisions

EA/ED decisions arrive by Dec 15; Regular Decision results post to portals by April 1, 2027.

Admitted Visits

Attend Admitted Student Days on March 27 or April 10, then confirm enrollment by May 1, 2027.
