The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science integrates ecology, chemistry, and earth systems to prepare students for environmental management, consulting, and research careers.
Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the baccalaureate curriculum, graduates will:
- Apply principles of ecology, environmental chemistry, geology, and hydrology to evaluate complex environmental systems and anthropogenic impacts.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret environmental field and laboratory samples using standard analytical instrumentation and geospatial tools (GIS).
- Evaluate environmental policies, laws, and economic mechanisms to propose sustainable solutions for conservation and resource management.
- Design and execute an interdisciplinary environmental research or remediation project and communicate findings through technical reports and scientific presentations.
