Curriculum Structure

Program Overview & Learning Outcomes

The Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering covers thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials, and machine design to prepare students for professional engineering practice.

Student Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the baccalaureate curriculum, graduates will:

  1. Apply principles of engineering mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and materials science to design mechanical components and thermal-fluid systems.
  2. Formulate and solve complex engineering problems using mathematical modeling, numerical methods, and computer-aided engineering tools.
  3. Design and conduct experimental investigations in mechanical systems, analyzing and interpreting empirical data to draw valid engineering conclusions.
  4. Lead multidisciplinary engineering design projects adhering to safety, manufacturability, economic viability, and ethical engineering standards.

Prerequisite Progression Chain
