About Dr. Luz Lozano
Luz Lozano teaches Engineering Materials & Manufacturing and Advanced Finite Element Analysis. Her scholarship examines melt pool thermo-kinetics, residual stress accumulation in laser powder bed fusion, and microstructural evolution in 3D-printed superalloys. She completed her doctorate at Castellan College and oversees Alkimi's advanced materials characterization laboratory.
Dr. Luz Lozano is a member of the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the School of Engineering & Computing.
