Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the baccalaureate curriculum, graduates will:
- Explain major concepts, theoretical perspectives, empirical findings, and historical trends in psychological science.
- Design and conduct empirical psychological studies using rigorous experimental design, laboratory instrumentation, and quantitative statistical analysis.
- Formulate computational and biological models of cognition, perception, and neural mechanisms underlying human behavior.
- Communicate psychological research effectively in American Psychological Association (APA) style through written research papers and professional scientific presentations.
Prerequisite Progression Chain
Research and Experimental Core: PSYC 101 + STAT 205 → PSYC 205 → PSYC 310 / PSYC 370 / PSYC 380 → PSYC 490.
Biological Foundations: BIO 101 → BIO 102; BIO 101 + PSYC 205 → PSYC 370.
