The School of Nursing & Health Sciences has finished renovating the simulation labs in the Calder Health Sciences Building, adding high-fidelity patient simulators and a debriefing room where students review recordings of their scenarios.
“Simulation lets students make their first mistakes on a mannequin instead of a patient,” said Dr. Grace Adeyemi, dean of the school. “Then they watch the recording, talk it through, and do it again.”
The labs support clinical courses across the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, which admits students directly as first-year applicants.
