Marcus Bell

Marcus Bell is vice president for enrollment management, leading the offices of undergraduate admissions, graduate admissions, and financial aid. He joined Alkimi in 2018 from Castellan College, where he was dean of admission and financial aid, and he has worked in college admissions for more than twenty years.

Bell has focused on making Alkimi easier to apply to and easier to afford. He championed the policy of waiving the application fee for every student who visits campus. With Hannah Lindqvist, director of undergraduate admissions, he proposed the public Admissions Assistant, which launched in April 2026 and answered more than 1,400 questions from prospective students and families in its first two weeks. He serves on the AI Advisory Council.

Bell began his career teaching high school English and coaching cross-country, then became an admissions counselor at Kellbrook College, his alma mater. He holds a bachelor's degree in English from Kellbrook and a master's degree in education from Tamarack State University. He and his wife have three children. Their oldest finished her own college search last year, which he calls the most humbling professional development of his career.
