Hannah Lindqvist

Hannah Lindqvist became director of undergraduate admissions in 2022. Her office, in Founders Hall 110, reviews first-year and transfer applications, runs campus tours and Open Houses, and answers questions from students, families, and school counselors. She also oversees the integrity of the application itself, including the university's guidance on how applicants may use AI tools in their essays.

Lindqvist knows the application from both sides. She graduated from Alkimi with a degree in English and was hired as an admissions counselor that fall, visiting high schools across the region. She spent five years as associate director of admission at Kellbrook College before returning to Alkimi in 2019 as senior associate director. With Vice President Marcus Bell, she proposed the Admissions Assistant, which now answers applicants' questions at any hour. "Most of the questions we get in November are the same twenty questions, asked at midnight," she says. "Families shouldn't have to wait until we open at 8:30 to learn that the SAT is optional."

Lindqvist holds a master's degree in higher education from Ostrander University. She cross-country skis whenever Merrow Falls gets enough snow, and she still reads the applications from her first recruiting territory every year.
