Kevin Tran

Kevin Tran has directed the Career Center in Brightwater Commons 210 since 2024. His team helps students explore careers, write resumes and cover letters, find internships, practice interviews, and apply to graduate school. The center also runs employer recruiting and on-campus interviews through CareerHub, along with the fall career and internship fair in Kestrel Fieldhouse.

Tran came to higher education from the other side of the interview table. He spent five years recruiting new graduates for a regional engineering and construction firm before joining Alkimi in 2019 as associate director for employer relations. Since then he has grown the list of employers who recruit on campus and built the Alumni Mentorship Network, which connects students with Alkimi graduates for informational interviews. "Your first job doesn't have to be your forever job," he tells first-year students. "It just has to teach you something."

Tran holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Vantry State University and a master's degree in higher education from Ostrander University. He lives in Merrow Falls with his wife, their toddler, and a very patient cat.
