Angela Moreno

Angela Moreno is the university's Title IX Coordinator and ADA Coordinator, and she leads the Office of Title IX and Equal Opportunity in Harlan Hall 310. Her office receives reports of sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, stalking, and discrimination. It arranges supportive measures, such as changes to housing or class schedules, and oversees investigations and resolution.

Moreno joined Alkimi in 2018. She began her career as a civil rights attorney and later served as deputy Title IX coordinator at Vantry State University, where she trained investigators and hearing officers. She takes a trauma-informed approach and describes her job as making sure everyone involved understands their options and is treated fairly. Her office isn't confidential, and faculty and staff who learn of an incident are required to report it. Students who want to talk confidentially first can reach the 24/7 CARE Advocate.

Moreno holds a bachelor's degree in sociology from Ostrander University and a law degree from Vantry State University. She is the mother of two and runs a marathon most years.
