Curriculum Structure

Program Overview & Learning Outcomes

The Bachelor of Science in Data Science merges computer science, predictive statistics, mathematical modeling, and machine learning to analyze massive structured and unstructured datasets.

Student Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the baccalaureate curriculum, graduates will:

  1. Execute data pipelines spanning data acquisition, cleaning, relational databases, distributed systems, and visualization.
  2. Develop predictive models using supervised, unsupervised, and deep machine learning algorithms in Python and R.
  3. Apply high-dimensional linear algebra and multivariate probability to evaluate algorithmic risk and bias.
  4. Interpret complex predictive analytics to formulate evidence-based decisions for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
