The Bachelor of Science in Chemistry offers comprehensive theoretical instruction and intensive wet-bench training certified for careers in industrial chemical synthesis, environmental monitoring, biotechnology, and doctoral research.

Student Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the baccalaureate curriculum, graduates will:

  1. Demonstrate foundational mastery of organic, inorganic, analytical, physical, and biochemical principles.
  2. Operate advanced spectroscopic instrumentation including NMR, FTIR, GC-MS, and UV-Vis spectrophotometers.
  3. Formulate predictive thermodynamic, quantum mechanical, and chemical kinetic models.
  4. Execute chemical research adhering to rigorous laboratory safety, hazardous waste, and chemical hygiene standards.

Prerequisite Progression Chain

CHEM 101 → CHEM 102 → CHEM 210 → CHEM 211 → CHEM 320 / CHEM 330 → CHEM 331 → CHEM 490.
