About Dr. Yesenia Cabrera
Yesenia Cabrera teaches Music Appreciation and Aural Culture, introducing students to diverse global musical traditions and listening techniques. An ethnomusicologist, she studies Andean folk music ensembles, diaspora festive celebrations, and instrument-making practices in Latin America. She directs Alkimi's world music choir and regularly conducts community music workshops across the Merrow Valley.
Dr. Yesenia Cabrera is a member of the Department of Visual & Performing Arts in the College of Arts & Sciences.
