About Dr. Vanessa Chambers
Vanessa Chambers teaches United States History to 1877 and leads sections of First-Year Seminar exploring gender and social reform in early America. Her scholarship investigates midwifery networks, domestic medicine, and public health debates in early nineteenth-century northeastern towns. She frequently collaborates with historical societies across the Merrow Valley to preserve community health records.
Dr. Vanessa Chambers is a member of the Department of History in the College of Arts & Sciences.
