About Sylvia Atwood
Sylvia Atwood serves as artist in residence and teaches Music Appreciation and Aural Culture, while coaching undergraduate chamber ensembles. A concert violinist who has performed internationally with renowned orchestras, her creative work focuses on commissioning new solo works from emerging composers and mentoring young string players. She performs regularly in chamber music festivals across the Northeast.
Sylvia Atwood is a member of the Department of Visual & Performing Arts in the College of Arts & Sciences.
