About Dr. Martha Segal
Martha Segal teaches Children's Literature and Directed Literary Research, guiding students through archival materials and nineteenth-century periodicals. Her research centers on Victorian fairy tales, book illustration, and how childhood reading shaped nineteenth-century moral philosophy. She has published widely on Lewis Carroll and illustrated serialized magazines.
Dr. Martha Segal is a member of the Department of English in the College of Arts & Sciences.
