About Dr. Luis Valdez
Luis Valdez teaches Econometrics and Data Analysis and Principles of Microeconomics. His empirical research focuses on the economics of education, specifically evaluating student financial aid designs, community college credit transfer policies, and teacher retention bonuses. His current project analyzes longitudinal outcomes for first-generation students in state scholarship programs.
Dr. Luis Valdez is a member of the Department of Economics in the College of Arts & Sciences.
