About Dr. Kieran Whelan
Kieran Whelan holds the Harlan Distinguished Professorship and teaches Global Art History: Ancient to Modern, specializing in early modern European visual culture. His scholarship investigates Dutch Golden Age genre painting, art market mechanisms in seventeenth-century Amsterdam, and painter workshop organization. He has published three monographs on Rembrandt's studio and curated major international museum exhibitions.
