About Dr. Joon Hwang
Joon Hwang teaches Cultural Anthropology: People and Culture and leads sections of Introduction to Sociology. His teaching incorporates documentary film, sensory ethnography, and participatory media projects into introductory social science classrooms. Before joining Alkimi, he developed community-based visual storytelling modules for undergraduate students at Merrow Valley Community College.
Dr. Joon Hwang is a member of the Department of Sociology in the College of Arts & Sciences.
