About Dr. Jeffrey Colombo
Jeffrey Colombo teaches Western and World Civilizations II and directs sections of Core Capstone addressing cross-cultural encounters. His research focuses on early modern maritime trade, merchant diaspora communities, and diplomatic exchanges between Venice and the Ottoman Empire. His current book project investigates quarantine stations and commercial regulation across sixteenth-century Mediterranean ports.
Dr. Jeffrey Colombo is a member of the Department of History in the College of Arts & Sciences.
