About Dr. Haruka Shimizu
Haruka Shimizu teaches Global Maternal and Child Health alongside Global Health Systems & Inequities. Her research investigates perinatal mortality reduction, community midwifery training, and childhood nutritional interventions across lower-income nations. Over a thirty-year career, she has collaborated with international humanitarian organizations and maternal health working groups.
Dr. Haruka Shimizu is a member of the Department of Public Health in the School of Nursing & Health Sciences.
